Welcome to Galena Sport Physical Therapy MidTown!

Galena Sport was founded by husband wife team Dereck and Jennifer Barrett. Upon graduating from U.N.R both Jennifer and Dereck relocated to Southern California to attend graduate school, Jenn for physical therapy and Dereck for law school. They always inteded to return home to Reno, and Galena Sport is the realization of that goal. While in California Jenn and Dereck started their first clinic South County Physical Therapy & Pilates. This clinic opened its door in August of 2004. It remains in operation and is the birthplace of their philosopy of what makes a good physical therapy clinic.
Our goal at Galena Sport Physical Therapy is to help patients get better faster and experience enduring results. We accomplish this through one-on-one treatment. We treat the whole person rather than just the injury because finding the source of pain is essential to relieving it.

Our approach is relatively simple:
Extensive manual therapy combined with Pilates-based exercise and patient education
