Serving patients in the Houston Galleria Clinic, Dr. Garabet Akoghlanian is an accomplished Infectious Disease physician with a diverse and extensive background in clinical practice, research, and medical leadership.

Previously serving as an Infectious Disease Attending at Medstar Medical Group in Baltimore, he brings a wealth of experience from his roles, including serving as the Medical Director for Infectious Disease and Antimicrobial Stewardship at Ochsner Lafayette General Health in Louisiana.

Dr. Akoghlanian holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease from the ABIM. His research contributions include significant studies on HIV-related health issues and antibiotic stewardship, and he has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Fluent in Armenian and Arabic, Dr. Akoghlanian’s multilingual skills and experience contribute to his effective patient care and collaboration in diverse medical settings.
