About us
Garret Schuchart, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon practicing at Pioneer Peak Orthopedics in Wasilla, Alaska.
Born and raised on a cattle ranch in south Texas, Dr. Schuchart’s education began at Hardin-Simmons University where he was a collegiate tight end on the football team while majoring in biology with a minor in biochemistry. He continued at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, for medical school. Dr. Schuchart completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas (ranked the number one major teaching hospital by Fortune/PINC in 2023), where he was well-trained in all fields of orthopedic surgery.
