About us
In 1972, a group of 10 Upstate homebuilders—ever in search of a better source for lumber, roofing, millwork and more—decided to construct a company of their own. Who better to run a supply business, they reasoned, than the very folks who purchase said supplies. Today GBS Building Supply operates 7 locations across the Carolinas supplying windows, doors, stone, roofing, siding, millwork, lock hardware, columns, trim, mouldings, cabinetry, countertops, decking & railing, gypsum, lumber & plywood, insulation, and other building materials. In addition, GBS Building Supply operates a custom molding & millwork center and offers kitchen design services and floor system design.
