About us
Life on the farm means facing every kind of weather — and in South Dakota, that usually means wind that cuts straight through you. I got tired of doing chores with the winter air blowing in my face, wishing I had something warm but still stylish to wear. My father-in-law has always loved his old ear flap hat. It’s practical — the longer bill keeps the wind and sun off his face, and the flaps protect his ears and neck. The problem was, when I looked around, there wasn’t anything like that made for women. Nothing cute. Nothing that felt like me.
So, I decided to make my own. And that’s where the story of Grace ’n Grit begins.
