I lived at 969 S. Pearl St at one of Granite Realty's properties for 3 years (Property Manager: Aaron Kessler). Upon moving in, there was significant damage to the carpets, walls and bathroom. Since my roommate and I were two bachelor, business professionals in our late twenties, we figured it would be better to leave the carpets/walls as they were originally rented, rather than have them replaced (which was offered to us) and potentially do any damages that would cause us to lose any amount of our security deposit. Over the course of our lease, Aaron assured us that we would not be charged for previous damage caused by tenants 3 years ago. When it came time to get our security deposits back, Aaron/Granite Realty charged us for close to our entire security deposit and claimed it was likely due to damages from storing our bikes in the apartment. Absolutely nonsense. We are currently taking Granite Realty to small claims courts. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! IF YOU DO RENT WITH GRANITE REALTY,...
