About us

Gregory Mitchell, M.D. is a board-certified urologist with expertise in treating a broad range of male and female urologic problems. In addition to general adult urology, Dr. Mitchell is highly skilled in minimally invasive urologic, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery as well as endourology. Dr. Mitchell is experienced in treating prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, complex kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, and other urologic conditions with innovative and minimally invasive approaches. He also routinely performs in-office procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, and prostate biopsy. After growing up in Atlanta and graduating from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Biology in 2005, Dr. Mitchell earned an M.S. in Biology from Penn State followed by his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Tulane, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and served as Chief Resident 2016-2017. Dr. Mitchell has authored many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the AUA, the American Board of Urology, and the Georgia Urological Association and has been recognized with several professional awards. Dr. Mitchell works to provide comprehensive, compassionate care focused on each individual patient. He believes that in addition to technical proficiency and incorporation of cutting-edge treatments, effective communication is essential for excellent clinical care. In addition to urology, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running, cycling, soccer, and music. Dr. Mitchell welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
