About us
Gregory Strohmeyer, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Pioneer Peak Orthopedics in Wasilla, Alaska. He was born and raised right here in Palmer, Alaska. He is the Matanuska Susitna Valley’s only specialty-trained fracture surgeon.
After graduating from Colony High School, where he was a four-year varsity letter hockey player, Dr. Strohmeyer attended Montana State University, where he studied biochemistry and graduated with high honors. He continued on to Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, for medical school. Dr. Strohmeyer completed his orthopedic residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he received a broad education in orthopedic surgery.
