About us
Guillermo E. Pineda, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Pineda earned his medical degree from Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Medical College of Georgia and in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular intervention at Gill Heart Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Pineda practiced cardiology at Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center in Columbia. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
