Many 'companies' work out of their house/garage and are not Authorized with the manufacture. They may have nice websites, advertisments, and make claims, but are actually a one man shop. Be careful that you get the quality of service you are looking for. Visit the manufactures website to determine who is actually authorized. If you receive shoddy service, who can you report this to. If a company is Authorized, you can always go to the manufacture to complain. 2) Is there an actual Service and Sales Center that you can visit? Take time to Google or Mapquest the location to see where their location is. Zoom in with the satellite view to see what the physical location looks like. Is it a house/garage or a professional business? Gulf-Co has been in business since 1992 and has a show room and service center for you to visit in a commercial area. 3) Is warranties offered on their service work? Ask what warranties are offered on servcie work. How long have they been in business? How long have they been in their current location? Service companies may offer a warranty, but if they go out of business tomorrow, how will you claim your warranty. If they are working out of their house/garge and decide to move tomorrow, how will you find them? Let's face it, in this economy many business are failing and closing shop. Many are opening up today and then closing tomorrow. Be sure to go with a reputable company that has a long proven track record. 4) Is your service technician Certified on the equipment to be worked on? Take time to ask about the technicians certifications and skill level, before calling them out for service.
