Heather Sturgeon, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner with over eight years of experience in mental health care. She earned her Master’s from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse in Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital’s child and adolescent inpatient unit, gaining expertise in acute and complex mental illnesses. After completing her degree, she transitioned to outpatient care, working with children, families, and schools to promote mental health. For the past six years, Heather has provided high-quality mental health care in Tennessee correctional settings, advocating for access to essential services.
