Henson Architecture advances the field of preservation through a hands-on approach to craftsmanship and traditional building practices as demonstrated in our award-winning, nationally recognized projects. In response to the global climate crisis and emerging technologies, HA is transforming the practice of retrofitting existing and historic buildings as a means towards carbon reduction. We believe that architecture is a collaborative effort. We are creative problem-solvers that work with our clients to develop solutions tailored to their unique project conditions and objectives - along the spectrum of Preservation of Historic Buildings, Adaptive Reuse, and Sustainable Design of new buildings. Our team brings a passion for craftsmanship into all phases of our projects. We view the preservation and re-use of existing and historic buildings as a critical practice due to the embodied carbon they contain and the results of basic life cycle analysis.
