Heritage Hall Museum in Freeman, South Dakota tells the story of the German-from-Russia immigrants and others who settled in southeastern Dakota territory in the 1870s. Pioneer stories and artifacts in this museum narrate the difficulties of living on the plains. From old businesses to cars, household items, natural history displays and local artwork, our South Dakota museum has over 20,000 historical items and artifacts on display that span everyone's interest areas.
