We think of hospitality as friends taking care of friends. As an independent, small-scale hotel, we offer high-quality customer service paired with unique qualities to provide our guests with a lodging experience that’s grounded in the locale. We purchased the property over 10+ years ago as a Holiday inn Express and took it independent six and half years ago. On the iconic Redwood Highway (Hwy 101) and near giant trees, rugged California coast and national parks, we saw an opportunity to create a sense of place. In Humboldt County almost all franchises are represented and there was no hotel to check into and continue your redwood experience. We changed that! One-of-a-kind murals painted by local artists, an open garden patio equipped with barbecue grills, a friendly team with endless recommendations, and the beauty of Northern California’s redwood coast, close to both the redwood groves and coastal beaches, await you with a room at The Redwood.
