Holly Farms Animal Care Center arrived at its current location in 1983 when founder, Dr. John Hannan, moved the practice from downtown Toledo. The practice was much smaller then with only Dr. Hannan and three employees. His wife Shirley was accountant/bookkeeper; Linda Moran and Marilou Walter were his receptionists, groomers, inventory managers, and assistants. We are proud to say Linda and Marilou are still with us today! In 1996 Dr. Susan Sieben joined Dr. Hannan and purchased the practice from him two years later. Dr. Hannan stayed on a few more years before retiring in 2003. Dr. Susie Ferguson joined the practice as a partner in 2000. The practice outgrew its original facility and a new hospital was built in 2007 utilizing the old building for separate boarding and day care. Holly Farms Animal Care Center is continually researching the newest surgical and medical options available, so we can offer our clients the highest quality of care. Our philosophy is to treat your pets as if they were our own. Consider us your partners in pet care. We are happy to provide you with information and support regarding your pet’s home care as well. Proper nutrition, shelter, exercise, and plenty of “TLC” are very important to living a long healthy life. Communication between doctor and owner is a very important part of pet care. We encourage our clients to ask questions about the treatment we give their pet. We strive to give our clients the information they need to make well informed decisions regarding their pet’s health.
