About us
Dr Smith attributes her childhood experiences—growing up on a rural farm in South Korea and living in many different towns as a military family—that sparked her interest in medicine. In particular, the health and healthcare disparities in different communities motivated her to become engaged in this field. Cardiovascular medicine is an ever-changing field. Dr Smith enjoys coming to work each day ready to bridge the gap between evidence-based medicine and clinical care, so that the patients can have a better quality of life. Dr Smith credits her physician mentors as the biggest influence in her life.
