Many people have needed the services of one or more physical doctors over the course of their lives.

Physical therapists are one such type of providers. Physical therapist treat their patients without the use of medications and surgery and focus on joint mobilization, stretching, strengthening, exercise, posture repair, gait analysis, manual therapy, ergonomics training, and diet modifications, just to name a few. Normalizing a patient’s body structure has profound effects on pain-reduction and slowing or halting the development of spine and other joint degeneration.

Physical therapy procedures are designed to normalize body movement and structure through stretching, strengthening, and balancing muscle and ligaments. Typically if you report to you primary care MD/DO with a musculoskeletal injury you might leave the office with a prescription for medication and/or a prescription for four to six weeks of physical therapy. At I.P.M., we have physicians on site who can write your prescription for therapy and therefore you do not need to seek out an evaluation with your primary care physician prior to your appointment! The goals of the physical therapy are to reduce pain, repair the injured region, and strengthen the area to avoid a future injury.

We offer a 360 degree approach. With a combination of the strengths of physical therapy, mobilization, and manual therapies, we are able to identify, diagnose, and successfully treat all aspects of a patient's injury. After identifying all aspects of an injury we are able to cater a customized rehabilitation program that not only repairs the injured area, but makes the area stronger and more stable to be able to withstand future injuries. This is the definition of true preventative care!

Some of our common rehabilitation patients have diagnoses of spinal disc bulges and herniations, pre/post surgical conditions (spine, hip, shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, carpal tunnel), sprains/strains, running injuries, sports related injuries, slip and fall patients, work related injuries, and motor vehicle accidents.
