About us

Jacob Dugal was born and raised in Reading, PA. Jacob attended Guilford College for his undergraduate degree where he also played lacrosse. He was a 4-time member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Following graduation, Jacob worked as a certified medical assistant in a rheumatology clinic. He was then accepted into the Gardner-Webb University Physician Assistant Program where he graduated in 2024. After graduation, he moved to Charleston with his girlfriend and their two cats, upon accepting the role at MUSC. He has clinical interests in low-pressure hydrocephalus, tethered spinal cord syndrome, and general neuro-oncology.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and riding his electric bicycle. He is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and also enjoys cheering on Penn State football.
