Jacob Smeltzer, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained hematology oncologist with Saint Luke’s Cancer Specialists. Dr. Smeltzer is committed to building lasting relationships and believes every patient deserves an individualized approach to care. His clinical interests include genitourinary cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney, as well as colorectal, lung, and lymphoma.

Dr. Smeltzer’s care philosophy uses a patient-centered and collaborative approach. He says the best part of his work is being able to have a positive impact on his patient’s lives each day by helping them find a cure, obtain remission, relieve symptoms, or simply guiding them through the difficult journey of cancer.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Smeltzer enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, water skiing, traveling, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
