About us
James W. Chang, D.O., received his undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus. He completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Chang is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Dr. Chang has presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Chang specializes in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. He has special interests in asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, lung nodules and lung cancer. He performs advanced bronchoscopy techniques such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy. He provides intensive care unit coverage and pulmonary consultations at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. In his spare time, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and sports. Dr. Chang welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
