James W. Gallagher, MD, MHA is a surgeon with AHN Surgery Institute, specializing in trauma. He is skilled at evaluating and treating critically ill, surgical, and severe trauma patients. Dr. Gallagher applies best-practice techniques and procedures to help ensure long-term patient outcomes.

Dr. Gallagher went to medical school at University of Texas Medical School at Houston in Houston, Texas. He received his Master of Health Administration at University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gallagher did his residency at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and his surgical critical care fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Gallagher is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is affiliated with the American College of Surgeon and the American Medical Association. He has been published and given numerous presentations for his work in surgery.
