About us

Jeffrey Guy, MD, received his medical degree and residency training at Harvard University. He completed fellowships in trauma at Massachusetts General Hospital and pediatric sports medicine at Boston Childrens Hospital, and finished his training with a fellowship in sports medicine under the direction of Drs. James Andrews and Bill Clancy at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Guy is currently a clinical professor within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Director of the University of South Carolina Sports Medicine Center. In addition, he serves as medical director of the Athletic Training Education Program in the College of Education and adjunct professor within the UofSC Arnold School of Public Health Department of Exercise Science.

As a team physician for University of South Carolina Athletics, Dr. Guy works with all of the athletic teams at the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Sports Medicine Institute Fellowship Society, Clinical Orthopaedic Society, and the South Carolina Medical Association.
