Jennifer DeLuka, MD, is with Springfield Clinic’s Pediatrics Department, seeing patients at Springfield Clinic Taylorville. Dr. DeLuka joined Springfield Clinic in 2013. Dr. DeLuka both earned her medical degree and completed her pediatrics residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. “Ever since I was little, I thought I was going to be a doctor, and it was probably my pediatrician who inspired me the most,” says Dr. DeLuka. “He always made you feel like you were going to get better, no matter how sick you were. So that started it for me.” Dr. DeLuka sees children of all ages in her practice. “I try hard to make sure I’m talking to the kids and not just the parents,” says Dr. Deluka. “Because I’m their doctor. And as kids get older, I remind them, ‘I’m your doctor. You can talk to me. If you’ve got something you’re worried about, you need to let me know. I can’t help make things better if I don’t know what’s going on.’” Dr. Deluka enjoys working with patients through their formative years. “The best part of my job is watching these kids grow up,” she says. “You get to see their little personalities develop, and they become their own unique individuals.” In her free time, Dr. Deluka enjoys watching Disney movies with her family, sewing and quilting.Top 1% Patient ExperienceThis provider ranks in the top 1% nationally in patient experience, based on scores from the "Care Provider Overall" question on surveys completed with Press Ganey.
