Jimmy Shaha, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at Pioneer Peak Orthopedics in Wasilla, Alaska. He specializes in sports medicine with an emphasis on problems from the shoulder to the fingertips.
Originally from the state of Utah, Dr. Shaha graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University, earning a degree in Neuroscience before enrolling at the University of Texas at Southwestern for Medical School. While there, Dr. Shaha earned membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha society. After graduation, he completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Shaha served five years on active duty in the U.S.
