About us
John Engbretson, MD As a doctor at Sanitas, my patients are my priority. I listen to them and use my medical training to help each person achieve their optimum physical and mental health. When I really connect with a patient and help them make a positive change to be healthier and happier, it’s a good day at work. I was born and raised in Alabama and moved to Memphis in 2007. I decided to go into medicine because I knew I wanted to help others in my career and medicine has been a great way to do that. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, an OB/GYN, and I have three amazing sons. I enjoy exercising, walking the dog, and playing the violin.
