John van Bockxmeer is a board-certified family physician whomoved to New York from Western Australia. Dr van Bockxmeer aims to delivertrauma-informed, compassionate and evidence-based care for patients of any ageor gender identity. John wishes to partner with patients and make shared plans.He has dual training in Emergency Medicine and an interest in chronic diseaseand healthy lifestyle choices. He is committed to improving the lives of othersand recently worked as a senior doctor in the opioid crisis response in BritishColumbia, Canada.He has a passion for health equity with clinical experienceacross six continents. He has a master's in public health and Tropical Medicineand enjoys research and volunteering with medical students in NorthernManhattan.
