Dr. Juan M. Alcantar grew up in Oxnard. He attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed an internal medicine residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. His medical oncology and hematology fellowship was completed at Harbor-UCLA and City of Hope Medical Centers. Prior to completing his fellowship, Dr. Alcantar practiced ambulatory and hospital medicine in Sherman Oaks, California. He was in private practice in hematology/oncology from 2011-2015.
