Julie L. Holihan, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in abdominal wall reconstruction for hernia repair and weight loss surgery. Her primary areas of interest are abdominal wall reconstruction (hernia) and weight loss surgery. Much of her practice is devoted to the treatment of abdominal wall hernias. She strives to stay informed of the latest treatment options in hernia, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Holihan is also an assistant professor of surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
