About us
Jyoti Sharma, M.D., graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., where she earned her undergraduate degree. She continued her education at Emory University School of Medicine and graduated with her medical degree in 2006. She completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, N.Y., where she served as chief medical resident from 2009-2010. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Sharma completed her fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center, including specialized training at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, Texas. She received several accolades throughout her training, including a national award for excellence from the American Heart Association's clinical council on Women in Cardiology. Dr. Sharma is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular interpretation. She is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Sharma enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Dr. Sharma accepts most insurance plans.
