About us

How have I not heard of Keeva until now?! Tucked away in the Richmond district, this Indian restaurant is hidden behind a bus stop. I dined on a Tuesday night and it was packed! They do have a yelp waitlist so make sure to check it before you come. To start, we ordered the Palak Chat - Chickpea batter fried with baby spinach and mint sauce. It tasted like crispy kale chips. The mint sauce, which was a little sweet, paired well with the spinach. For our mains, we ordered the chicken tikka malasa. The chicken was super tender and the sauce flavorful. They are also known for their Bang Bang Egg Curry! - Crispy fried egg cooked in housemade fresh tomato and onion sauce. For the best taste, the server mixed in the egg yolk with the sauce. This was our favorite dish of the night. The tomato and onion had a little kick too - we ordered it mild. Their naan is a little different than most places. I usually don't like thin naan but this tasted good and buttery. To end the night, we ordered the Rasmalai - Cheese dumplings in condensed milk - for dessert. The server said this was one of her favorites growing up. It's also one of my favorite Indian desserts. From other yelpers, they mentioned that this restaurant can actually make your dishes spicy. I was with wimps that can't handle spice, but their mild had a kick to it. It seems to be a nice family run restaurant. All the servers were super friendly and genuinely personable. Keeva has taken the spot for my favorite Indian restaurant in SF for now!
