We were excited to award (2) $500 Scholarships to two very deserving teens: Jacob Fish (pictured) and Colin Meadows. These teens have been part of our Snow Angel program for the last several winter seasons.
Each winter, we have about 20 teen volunteers from the local high schools who shovel driveways for senior citizens, single parents, or disabled homeowners. Each scholarship candidate wrote an essay describing what their participation in this program has meant to them during their service to the community. We are proud to give this service to those in need and will continue with this scholarship program. 🤝

It was June 1, 2006 that we decided to move the business to my community, a kinda unpresidented move after twenty-two years in Crete knowing we would likely lose a lot of our Crete business. The economy crashed a year later and I questioned my wisdom. Well, what I didnt factor in was the AMAZING support we would get from the community. It took five years to get back to where I was when we moved and the next 13 years have been nothing less than spectacular. Thank you one and all ESPECIALLY my original customers from day one in 1985. In six months you’ll have been with me 40 years. To my wonderful team The Best Is Yet To Come.

Kevin Schuster you are indeed an amazing man. Week in and week out giving back to this community. When Kevin heard I needed a new home for the FREE Veterans Breakfast, he and his Midtown Bar and Grill team called me within hours of hearing this and offered to be the Kevin Molloy - State Farm cosponsor. Im hoping people support Midtown on a regular basis. Support those who support the community. Jenna Drew and Scott Sumrall THANK YOU again for coming out and especially for filling in for me today. We will see you all next month on August 2nd so mark your calendar and spread the word

There were five men that helped shaped my life, five men that each brought a different perspective on life but the one that shaped the compassionate part of my brain was my father in law “pappa”. I believe he would’ve been 90 today but passed way to soon. You would’ve loved to have been around to meet Jude and you and I could’ve shared the joy of being a grandpa. Happy Heavenly Birthday Pappa and here is Jude July 2024 at 20 months old

So many excellent opportunities for great entertainment so far this summer in Manhattan and the surrounding communities. A few weeks ago the Park District and the Chamber held the Heritage Day Festival, Fritz’s annual Jimmy Buffett Fest, the village held the Young Entrepreneurs event in front of the Village Hall, Andrea Taylor and her crew helped raise over $200K with the St. Jude’s run
and last night Kevin Schuster and his Midtown Bar and Grill team hosted a Taylor Swift event for a young audience to enjoy AND we still have so much more to do. Look at all these smiling faces from last nights Taylor Swift event

Skip Minger approached me aa few years ago with an idea that turned into a big win for the New Lenox VFW. Donate a crisp $100.00 bill for a special drawing at the Bingo on the last Tuesday of every month. The July effort resulted in a profit of $1420.00 for the VFW. Well done to all involved.

WELL !!!!! WHY NOT ??? In talking with Free Veteran Breakfast Cosponsor Kevin Schuster of Midtown Bar and Grill AND Customized Massage and Facials Queen Jackie Rust, the Kevin Molloy - State Farm team felt the time is right for a pop up FREE Hot Dog event at the Manhattan Creamery THIS coming Wednesday August 21st from 11:00 AM-1:15 PM There will be a limit of five per car. It was a big hit during covid 2020 and Kevin, Jackie and I thought it would be a perfect way to send the kids back to school. Thank You to Creamery owner Jordan Sisk for making this an affordable option. The Good Neighbear will be there to greet you. The meal consists of a hot dog, small fry and small drink. This is Kevin’s, Jackie’s and my way of making that trip back to school a bit more fun
