About us
Knight Automotive is your local auto repair shop offering vehicle service, repair and maintenance for all makes and models! Our technicians are ASE Certified and we offer a FREE local shuttle. We are proud to serve Crown Point, Merrillville, Schererville and the surrounding areas.
The history of Knight Automotive and Performance L.L.C. began around 1981. Bill was 10 years old and became interested in automobiles while helping his Uncle Sonny who was a stockcar driver. Performing the most basic of tasks, Bill learned the importance of cleaning, inspecting and replacing necessary components on a vehicle. When Bill turned 13 his father purchased a 1957 Chevrolet and so began the process of learning about the inner workings of the internal combustion engine. By the time he was 16 he had built multiple engines for friends and family members. After attending Hammond Area Career Center his final 2 years of high school, Bill was off to Wyoming Technical Institute for 6 more months of education.
