About us
Lai Chaim, DNP, MSN, NP-C, joined Prisma Health as a a nurse practitioner in December 2015. She received her doctor of nursing practice from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and started her advance practice career in business health taking care of patients with acute visits. She has also worked in telemedicine and provided care to rural communities via Prisma Health Mobile Clinic.
Chaim developed her interest in family medicine after recognizing that many acute visits could be prevented with proactive care, and by addressing patients' chronic diseases. Her philosophy of care is to provide proactive and preventive care to patients across their lifespans, and to work closely with them to provide the best treatment plans that will meet their needs. When she is not working, she enjoys time her spouse, traveling and movies.
