Lakes End Grill & Marina in Nantahala is a very pretty spot HOWEVER the service at the boat rental was significantly less than great..We rented a pontoon boat all set to enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the Lake. We were not told by the very young man to make sure that our child (who was 10 at the time) had on his life jacket. We had fully intended to put it on him but had just pulled out of the marina and we were trying to find them (yet again the young man did not tell us where the life jackets were stored). We had barely left the site of the marina when the pontoon boat died, literally died, and would not start again. We were spotted by two wildlife rangers who tried to get our boat started and could not. They were helpful enough to tow us back to the marina and they also TICKETED us for our child being without a life jacket. Total trip was a waste of time, money and a complete headachel. Do not use this marina for boat rentals!!!
