Carl Lanham, the founder of Lanham Refrigeration, started working in Louisville, KY during World War II. At that time, he was interested in refrigeration and decided to use his experience to start his own business in 1945. During the war, he worked on aircraft systems where he became fascinated with the technology of refrigeration. After Carl died in 1984, his two sons Neil and Brad took over the business after working alongside their father for many years. They have continued to run the business since that time under the same operational name. Now, the third generation has begun in the same line of work as their predecessors!
