About us

1.Bankruptcy

There are two main types of bankruptcy for individuals: Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Chapter 7 is commonly referred to as “liquidation” bankruptcy because you can cancel many (or all) your debts and not pay back your creditors. In contrast, Chapter 13 is sometimes called “reorganization” bankruptcy since you can overcome your debt through a repayment plan and protect valuable property.

2.Foreclosure

If your home is being threatened with foreclosure, it is imperative that you meet with one of the legal professionals at our firm and find out if you have a viable foreclosure defense. It may be possible to challenge the foreclosure proceedings and avoid losing your home, or to avoid the long-term consequences of a foreclosure on your credit report.

3. Debt Collection

The Fair Debt Collection Protection Act was added in 1978 as part of the Consumer Protection Act. It was written to protect consumers from abusive debt collection actions and to promote fair debt collection which includes protection against deceptive credit practices; and, to provide the means for debtors to dispute debt and obtain accurate information to validate debt.
