About us
Leonard's Nursery opened its doors to serve Sarasota and surrounding areas in 2021. Since location is key to any business, Leonard Hendry had been patiently looking for the ideal site when he drove down Fruitville Road finding that opportunity with the open lot for rent. Quickly, he secured the location and opened his doors for business. While the business location is relatively new, Leonard began his entrance into horticulture in his early teens, working in a family-owned nursery where he was mentored by the owners. Leonard continued expanding his skills in landscaping and container gardening, creating unique designs for homes and businesses.
