Lloyd Y. Tani, MD received both his undergraduate education and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his pediatric and pediatric cardiology training from the Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children"s Hospital. He is a Professor of Pediatrics and has been a member of the faculty of the University of Utah School of Medicine for nearly 30 years. He currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah and Co-Director of the Heart Center at Primary Children"s Hospital. Dr. Tani"s clinical interests include general pediatric cardiology, rheumatic fever and heart disease, Kawasaki disease, pediatric valvular disease, and echocardiography. Dr. Tani"s research interests include rheumatic fever and heart disease, Kawasaki disease, quality improvement and clinical outcomes, and pediatric echocardiography.
