I was looking into annuities as a source for an income for my retirement. He was explaining to me that a variable annuity would offer me peace of mind and stability. He was telling me that a variable annuity has no risk and offers me a supplemental source of income. Because this involved my life savings, I decided to get a second opinion. I was told that a variable annuity does have risk contrary to what Mr. Lemberg was telling me. It was also explained to me that because I would need to have access to the funds to help my grandson purchase a home since he just got married, a variable annuity is not suitable nor recommended.
