A Long island cemetery. Rather than the usual rows of marble and granite, the Locust Valley Cemetery's founders conceived of a sanctuary more like a woodland garden. Originally designed by the Olmsted family, architects of Central Park, the perennial beauty of the Cemetery's 32 acres provides serenity and privacy in in an arboretum like setting of towering hardwoods, evergreens, flowering trees and shrubs.
