Maged Elkhouly, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques. With nearly a decade of experience, he brings advanced skills in complex procedures and a background in both pediatric and general surgery research.

Dr. Elkhouly delivers comprehensive surgical care using the latest robotic technology, including the state-of-the-art Intuitive DaVinci5 surgical system. His expertise includes robotic hernia repair (including complex and recurrent cases), robotic colon resections, gallbladder surgery, endoscopies, screening colonoscopies and soft tissue procedures. He also performs lymph node biopsies and excisions, skin cancer treatments and abdominal wall reconstruction.

Committed to patient-centered care, Dr. Elkhouly emphasizes shared decision-making — ensuring every patient is informed, involved and empowered throughout their treatment journey. Most procedures are performed robotically, enabling faster recovery and a quicker return to daily life. Originally from Detroit, Dr. Elkhouly leads an active lifestyle that mirrors his energetic approach to medicine. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, off-roading and motorcycle cruising. Multilingual in English, Arabic and Japanese, he is currently learning Spanish, enriching his ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
