About us
Margaret McEntegart, MD, serves as Director of Complex PCI and CTO Programs at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, leading one of New York City’s premier programs for complex coronary care. She also holds the position of Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.An internationally recognized clinician and researcher, Dr. McEntegart brings extensive experience to her work at Columbia. Before joining the institution, she was a consultant interventional cardiologist at Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Scotland, where she helped establish and lead the CTO and Complex PCI Program. She also directed the MitraClip service and contributed to the early development of the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) program.Dr. McEntegart has played a central role as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials at local, national, and international levels. She co-supervised Ph.D. research fellows in interventional cardiology with Professor Colin Berry and founded the Glasgow Coronary Core Lab, which supported critical research efforts including the UK T-TIME trial and the BCIS-REVIVED study.At Columbia, Dr. McEntegart is committed to education and mentorship. She plays an active role in training interventional cardiology fellows, guiding junior faculty, and supporting professional development across the cardiovascular care team.
