About us

Dr. Adelman is a dedicated women’s health specialist at University of Utah Health. As a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery consultant, her practice focuses on the surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding, symptomatic fibroid uteri, adnexal masses, and chronic pelvic pain. Her other areas of interest include gender-affirming surgical care and management of cervical dysplasia. Dr. Adelman is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and holds a specialty designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She is fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and has been performing minimally invasive surgery since 2012. She was the first provider in Utah to offer VNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) hysterectomy and is trained in robotic surgery. Her primary academic department is Obstetrics & Gynecology, where she contributes to the General OB/GYN division. Dr. Adelman completed her fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecology at Scripps. She undertook her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Vanderbilt University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Adelman’s research interests are centered on the development and use of electrosurgical devices and techniques, as well as on surgical curriculum development for resident education. Her work aims to enhance both clinical outcomes and educational methodologies within her specialty.
