Massage Therapy Works has been lovingly serving the communities of Somerville and Cambridge since 1997. From our inception, our mission has been to be an industry leader and to provide the highest level of therapeutic bodywork service possible — at a time when only Swedish-style massage was available everywhere else.
Within two years, we included Acupuncture and Integrative Bodywork to our list of services and extended our hours of operation on Sundays until 9PM. Today we offer more than twenty different modalities for the purpose of having something helpful for everyone in search of pain relief, stress reduction and healing.
In addition to having developed a high degree of massage skill, all of our therapists are state-licensed and certified in their respective areas of expertise. One of the benefits of our working together as a team is that you have access to all of our talent when it comes to your well-being.
In 2011 we moved upstairs to our current location in order to increase our capacity to six treatment rooms (including a couples room) and to provide a stress-free environment of serenity & healing. Since then, we’ve created short-term memberships, and added Fascial Stretch Therapy, Therapeutic Cupping, and Lymph Drainage Massage to our service offerings.
In 2012 we introduced dōTERRA essential oils and related health products to our practice. Now we offer a variety of proprietary oil blends for treating headaches, indigestion, asthmatic issues, mild depression, stress, and strengthening the immune system.
Today our team consists of over twenty healthcare workers and seven support staff, and each month we express our gratitude by honoring a different community-support profession with a discount.
