MATTHEW PLANTE, MD, FAAOS A board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Plante focuses his practice on adult and pediatric injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. He has a special interest in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, ACL and complex knee ligament reconstructions, shoulder instability and rotator cuff surgery, meniscal repair and cartilage restoration, and complex extremity trauma. He has had the opportunity to work with many professional, college, and high school teams including the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Providence Bruins, Brown University, Holy Cross, and the Providence Public Schools.
