About us
Dr. Megan B. Shannon is a urogynecologist at Virginia Women's Center. She cares for patients at our Short Pump, Mechanicsvile and Midlothian locations. As a Urogynecologist, Dr. Shannon has been specialty trained in medical and surgical options for women with pelvic floor disorders. She recognizes many women are hesitant to talk about pelvic pain, bladder, bowel or prolapse issues and as a result, they suffer in silence. Dr. Shannon wants her patients to know that these are very common issues women—of all ages—face. And, since many of these issues impact intimacy and the entire pelvic region, it’s important to get care as soon as possible.
