About us

Dr. Megan McDermott, PT, DPT is a highly trained Physical Therapist at Alliance Orthopedics in Freehold, New Jersey. She specializes in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation to decrease pain and physical limitations. She has a passion for returning patients to doing what they love, no matter the age or current condition.

Megan attended the University of Scranton, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, with a Nutrition Concentration. She continued her education at the University of Scranton, where she then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her clinical experience is vast, including both outpatient orthopedic care and inpatient acute care. She has a passion for decreasing functional limitations caused by all orthopedic and neurologic conditions. She has a special passion for helping patients with Parkinson’s Disease, and has a specialist certification.
Megan is certified by the New Jersey Board of Physical Therapy as a Licensed Physical Therapist. She also has her LSVT BIG certification which maximizes outcomes for people with Parkinson’s Disease. She is certified in Basic Life Support per the American Red Cross. She cannot wait to meet you and start helping you feel better everyday!
