About us
Melissa Hite, MD, joined Prisma Health Colon and Rectal Surgery after completing her general surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University. Her academic and clinical focus is on benign and malignant pathology in colorectal surgery. Her clinical interests include colon, rectal and anal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, and benign pathologies such as diverticular disease and anorectal disease. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog and being outdoors.
