Melvin Dye is an experienced insurance agent with Georgia Farm Bureau serving the Barrow County community. Melvin is passionate about helping clients find solutions to their insurance needs. According to Melvin, insurance doesn’t have to be complicated and confusing. He enjoys helping his clients understand their choices as they make decisions regarding their portfolios. He is committed to providing the best service for each of his clients through honesty and integrity by helping each client better understand their needs and providing them with the best information to help them make an informed decision about their family's financial needs.

Melvin was born and raised in Louisville, GA, the first permanent capital of the state of Georgia, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson Academy as Valedictorian. He attended and graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA and while holding the President title of Kappa Alpha Order, Epsilon Nu chapter. He is married to Lindsey Dye from Monroe, Georgia. Melvin began his insurance career in 2011 in Watkinsville, Georgia and he now works in Winder serving the Barrow County area.

When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and supporting all of their athletic activities. All three of his kids play club soccer and his youngest plays for the #1 team in the state in her age group and also is a member of the Georgia Olympic Soccer Development team. Melvin volunteers a lot of his time coaching, including: coaching middle school soccer (boys and girls) at George Walton Academy, youth girls basketball at GWA, and club soccer at GSA. Melvin also enjoys watching Georgia football, watching Tottenham Hotspur footie and watching Atlanta United footie.
