Dr. Michael Montano is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Pioneer Peak Orthopedics in Wasilla, Alaska. Fellowship-trained in sports medicine, Dr. Montano specializes in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures for the shoulder, knee, and hip. He is also a leader in robotic-assisted joint replacement and was the first to introduce MAKO robotic technology to Alaska—making him the most experienced MAKO joint replacement surgeon in the state.
With a lifelong passion for athletics and a strong connection to the sports world, Dr. Montano brings a unique perspective to orthopedic care. As a former NCAA Division I team captain and starting pitcher, he understands firsthand what it takes to recover, perform, and thrive.
